In celebration of having hosted the very first Comic Con in 1970, guests of The Grant Grill will receive an original letter-pressed comic, with any beverage purchase while supplies last. This classic comic will be embossed on to a commemorative coaster marking the first edition of what is set to become a Comic Con tradition for years to come. The comic depicts Ulysses S. Grant as a hero himself, with the San Diego cityscape in the background including the landmark building itself. The artwork is by two-time Pulitzer prize winning cartoonist with the San Diego Union-Tribune, Steve Breen. A limited number of coasters will be autographed by the artist as well.
