Barnett Elementary School, 23925 Couna Way, Ramona, CA 92065

America Recycles Day, a program of Keep America Beautiful, is the only nationally recognized day dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling. On November 15th, I Love A Clean San Diego and the County of San Diego will come together to improve education about what is recycled in our community and motivate people to recycle more by providing a way to demonstrate their commitment.

This year’s event will be held at Barnett Elementary School in Ramona where over 500 students will learn about recycling and protecting their local environment! ILACSD will host an Envirofair for students during the day, followed by a cleanup event in the surrounding community to help students connect what they learn to actions they can take right in their own backyards. The Envirofair will include the County of San Diego’s mobile Splash Lab and a booth from the County’s Recycling Division, ILACSD’s Recycle Relay, a composting presentation from the Solana Center, and recycling information from Ramona Disposal.

Volunteers Needed!

After the Envirofair, join us for a cleanup event from 2:00-4:00pm in the areas surrounding Barnett Elementary School. Volunteers will receive a BPA-free reusable water bottle made from recycled materials for participating (while supplies last). Contact Lexi at to sign up!
