Motorcycle driver dies in collision on Point Loma Blvd.

A 53-year-old male was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound in the 5100 block of West Point Loma Boulevard about 2 p.m. on Jan. 24. A 28-year-old male was driving his Ford Escape vehicle westbound in the 5100 block of West Point Loma Boulevard.

The male on the motorcycle lost control while he was trying to negotiate a curve and struck the Ford Escape. The male on the motorcycle continued to slide and struck an unoccupied parked vehicle. The 53 year old sustained severe head trauma and internal injuries. He was transported to the hospital, where he later died of his injuries. Traffic Division responded and will be handling the investigation.
