Scott H. Munzig, a longtime resident of Maui, Hawaii, made his new home in Point Loma in 2010 and fell in love with Ocean Beach.

Born June 27, 1955, Scott passed away June 18 at the age of 57, days shy of his 58th birthday.

Early in life, he showed a talent and enthusiasm for sports and art. He was an excellent skateboarder, surfer and unicyclist.

Scott was well-known in the San Diego area for his tropical seascape paintings.

He was also a very spiritual persoon and studied the teachings of the great masters of Eastern religion.

He believed this life was just a passage to a better one and, to live fully, one should “accept what IS.”

He published two books on spirituality and acceptance.

Scott will be missed by his family and friends and the many people who have found joy in his art.

A memorial service will be held at a later date, which the family will announce.

"The formless forms with mystical cohesion "

Quote from my good friend Scott

We had a discussion about creation of the Universe

Also about death and rebirth.

The quote was his answer.
