The San Diego Foundation announced that Dr. Pamela Luster and Pedro Villegas have joined the Board of Governors for two-year terms. The San Diego Foundation Board of Governors is composed of 21 volunteers with diverse professional expertise and backgrounds who are involved in and provide leadership for many community and charitable organizations. The board oversees The Foundation by establishing strategic priorities and approving budgets and grants.

- Dr. Pamela Luster is the president of San Diego Mesa College, one of the fastest-growing community colleges in the U.S. In her role, Luster focuses on student equity on campus while fostering an inclusive and engaging environment for faculty, staff, students and administrators. She is committed to finding permanent solutions to address the basic needs of community college students.
- Pedro Villegas is director of Community Relations for the San Diego Gas & Electric Co., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sempra Energy, a Fortune 500 company based in San Diego. Villegas is responsible for SDG&E’s corporate philanthropy and relations with nonprofit and community-based organizations in San Diego County and south Orange County.
