For comparison, the Arco station at Sunset Cliffs Boulevard and Newport Avenue (left) — which typically has some of the lowest prices in San Diego — was slightly lower than the state average on Monday at $3.85 a gallon for regular unleaded. Local motorists continue to feel the ripple effects of unrest in Libya and elsewhere in the Middle East as they fill up at the gas pumps in Ocean Beach and Point Loma. California’s gas prices are the highest in the nation on average at $3.90 a gallon, according to the Automobile Club of Southern California.
