Aldis Browne Fine Arts, Inc. is introducing Avant Nez, a project by conceptual artist Brian Goeltzenleuchter on Saturday, April 16 from 4 to 7 p.m. at 7752 Fay Ave. At the event, guests will experience Goeltzenleuchter’s olfactory art accompanied by a “sensory assault” of fine wines and gourmet delicacies, all curated by the artist, who has been incorporating the art of scent into his environmental and performance artwork for years.

Goeltzenleuchter has developed an artistic process entailing three pre-arranged sittings to define the context for an evocative and intense journey into the creation of a client's personal fragrance, bottled within a sculpture designed by the artist.

Goeltzenleuchter, who earned a master of fine arts from UC San Diego, infuses interdisciplinary research into the creation of designed environments, scripted and improvised performances, olfactory art and multimedia presentations. He exhibits, lectures and performs nationally and internationally.
