When Chris Cott saw the cover of our March 8 issue featuring the various finds of photographer Don Balch on La Jolla’s shores, he decided to send in some photos of his own discoveries while combing the community’s beaches. Together with canine helpers Jackson and Gus, Cott has made some pretty wild discoveries. He has found cell phones, bikini tops, dive regulators and even a steering wheel from a boat — all items whose disappearance must certainly have been noticed by their original owners!
