This year’s annual Thanksgiving feast organized by Second Chances Bread of Life drew several hundred hungry people to the Sacred Heart Church in Ocean Beach.

Supporters of this year’s feast were OB1 Baptist Church, Newbreak Assembly of Ocean Beach and the Episcopal Church of Ocean Beach.

More than 1,000 full meals were served by more than 100 volunteers.

Warm winter clothing was supplied by volunteers from Sharon Gonzalez Accountant Extraordinaire.

The 8,000 pounds of food needed to prepare the feast was donated by Feeding America San Diego, Stump’s Market, the San Diego Food Bank and many individuals. Sycuan Casino also donated 984 whole pumpkin pies.

Musical entertainment was provided by Edison Riggs of Cowboy Angels, Armand Bernheim and the Christine Stevens Orchestral Symphony.

To volunteer for future needs, call Glyn Franks @ Second Chances Bread of Life (619) 886-4275 or email secondchancesob@yahoo.com
