The Point Loma High sailing team returned from Tampa Bay, Fla. May 26 with its sixth national team championship victory by capturing the Toby Baker Trophy.

Sailing at the host Davis Island Yacht Club, the Pointers defeated 11 regional champion schools from seven districts across the U.S. in the International Scholastic Sailing Association (ISSA) event.

The final race results showed Point Loma with a cumulative 15 wins and two losses in the qualifying and the Gold Championship rounds to edge Tabor Academy from Marion, Mass.
