Ocean Beach residents Bob and Regina Morin take their Beacon for a visit to the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state recently with their daughter, Lisa Carcia, and Lisa’s husband, David. The Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge, west of Sequim on Highway 101, lies on the Pacific Flyway, a migration route for thousands of birds. At the tip of the refuge's long natural sand spit is a historic lighthouse that was built in 1872. All so appropriate for the Beacon!
