Point Loma High School celebrated the 87th Homecoming in its 88-year history Nov. 8 with a joyous gathering attended by a large contingent of alumni. In the featured football game, Madison’s Warhawks, who are defending state champions, defeated the Dogs 28-7 in a hard-fought battle. The parade of floats and dancers drew loud cheers from the crowd, with the seniors, as always, taking first place, followed by the juniors, sophomores and freshmen. It’s true: “Once a Pointer, Always a Pointer!”
