The less conventional wisdom says that wine pairs well with just about everything – but it's always made a dandy partner with chocolate. The Eclipse brand is said to make a particularly fine companion. If you can make it to the Pantai Inn on May 22 between 6:30 and 8 p.m., you get a chance to find out and benefit the Wounded Warrior Project at the same time.

White and dark Eclipse chocolates will be featured alongside five fine wines, with hospitality figure Robert Rauch and chocolatier William Gustwiller on hand to discuss pairing and to review the wines. Hospitality management firm R. A. Rauch & Associates sponsors the event.

The event will begin with a sparkling wine served with cheese and fruit prior to the tastings.

Pantai Inn is located at 1003 Coast Blvd.

Tickets are $25. Proceeds go to the Wounded Warrior Project. Valet parking is included in the price. For more, call (858) 224-7600.
