The Friends of Kellogg Park Playground group has collected community donations to rebuild the playground equipment at La Jolla Shores. The city had removed the previous equipment but never replaced it, leaving only the swings and a useless platform. The new play structure and swings have been installed and a rubber padded ground cover and large statue of J.J. the Whale are also in the plans.
