Police arrest two suspects in Pacific Beach homicide case

On Friday, April 14 at 6:45 p.m., San Diego Police Officers responded to the San Diego Motel at 4780 Mission Bay Drive to investigate a report of a fight involving a man with a knife.

The first officers to arrive found a male in a room suffering from lacerations on his head, arm and blunt force trauma to his ribcage sustained during an assault. The victim has been identified as 40-year-old Joaquin Tuttle of San Diego. Tuttle was transported to Scripps La Jolla Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

On Friday, April 21 the San Diego Police Department was notified by the Medical Examiner’s Office that Tuttle had died earlier in the day.

On Tuesday, April 25 San Diego Police homicide detectives received information that two suspects in this case were staying in a Mission Valley hotel. Surveillance of the hotel was conducted and the two suspects were apprehended as they left their room.

Arrested were 29-year-old Cameron Mathew Parker and 23-year-old Samantha Grace Passmore, both from San Diego. The suspects were booked into county jail for homicide related charges.
