The Point Loma Rotary Club invites San Diegans to “ride the hidden, unridden, and forbidden Point Loma” in the fifth annual Jim Krause Memorial Charity Bicycle Ride on Nov. 11 to support pancreatic cancer research.

The ride begins and ends at Oggi’s Liberty Station and traverses exclusive scenic bike paths and routes around San Diego. This is an all-volunteer event and participation is limited to the first 600 registrants to ensure a boutique cycling experience. The event will also include a special “Salute to Veterans” in honor of Veterans Day.

Ride the Point has 8/25/62 mile distances to accommodate different levels of bicycling experience. The Family Ride is a relatively flat 8 mile course on bike paths along beautiful San Diego Bay and is perfect for cruisers, beginning riders, challenged athletes, and families.

The 25 mile Enthusiast Ride and 62 mile Metric Century are street rides with exclusive routes and challenging climbs around Cabrillo National Monument, Sunset Cliffs, Ocean Beach, Mission Bay, Mission Valley, and Mission Gorge. The ride includes “King & Queen of the Mountain” time trials from the Point Loma tide pools. The public is invited to the free healthy lifestyle expo at Oggi’s Liberty Station from 9 am until 2 pm with local vendors, music, and refreshments. For more information visit www.RideThePoint.org.
