University of San Diego alumni in Pacific Beach, Mission Beach, and Point Loma and other communities are invited to participate in the “Torero Takeover” on Saturday, June 9. Bands of USD Toreros in blue and white will be all over the region during the second annual Torero Takeover, showcasing the local 25,000 USD alumni who are entrepreneurs, nonprofit leaders, and change-makers.
The day includes service, social, and physical activities such as waterfront yoga from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Dana in Mission Bay, owned by USD graduate and trustee Richard Bartell; packing, sorting and other service from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the San Diego Food Bank in Miramar.
