HOW TO SPOT PREDATORS

Wouldn't it be great to detect dangerous people just by looking? To know when someone is lying just by listening?

Dr. Wendy Patrick, author of "RED FLAGS: How to Spot Frenemies, Underminers, and Ruthless People," will demonstrate how to spot predators and protect yourself and your family from dangerous people. Drawing from her 22 years of experience as a prosecutor working with victims, corroborated by abundant psychological research, Dr. Patrick will give you a list of red flags to consider as early as the first meeting.

Books will be available for purchase and signing after the powerpoint presentation March 13 at the Point Loma Hervey Library, 3701 Voltaire St. Refreshments and door prizes will follow. Call 619 531-1539 for more information.

POINT LOMA GARDEN CLUB HOSTS MONTHLY PROGRAM

The Point Loma Garden Club's monthly program and meeting will be held 10 a.m. to noon on March 13 at Portuguese Hall, 2818 Avenida de Portuga. JulieAnn Engel, who has been representing Tower Garden for four years, will discuss Aeroponics, a soil-less way to grow plants, fruits, and vegetables using air and water.

Plants will grow 50% faster and use less water than traditional methods of gardening. The program will include a demonstration.
