During the recent wildfires, we were forced to evacuate our home in Valley Center.  Fortunately, good friends in Ocean Beach welcomed us into their home for three days.

It is an unnerving experience to have to flee your home at 5 in the morning. However, our anxiety was lessened as we took the Sunset Cliffs exit off I-8 and saw a newly hand-painted sign reading, "Welcome Evacuees to OB," followed by words of encouragement.  Thanks to whoever made our entry into OB such a nice experience.
