Triangle Chamber awards top UC High student

In an award ceremony held June 5 at University City High School, Danny Rudick, executive vice president of the Golden Triangle Chamber of Commerce, and Lamar Bird, ambassador chair of the chamber, presented the GTCC Scholarship Award check to Alexander Scarlet, a graduating student at the school.

The UC High Senior Awards Committee selected Scarlett as an outstanding student for this award. He will be attending the University of California, Santa Barbara and majoring in business.

He was the RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Award) candidate in his junior year for his strong leadership and direction in business.
